50 =40 and 40= ?

I heard today that 50 is the new 40. I'm not sure what to make of that. I wonder what the old 40 is.

Aging

It has been said that 40 is the old age of youth and 50 is the youth of old age. Therefore shouldn't I feel younger when I turn 50 than I did when I turned 40?
