Faith

I visited with a woman the other day that was recovering from a stroke. She was lamenting on her loss of freedom since the stroke as she had to share a small apartment with her daughter, son in law and grown grandson and granddaughter. The environment was far from a loving one. At the same time she was grateful that she had almost completely recovered except for memory loss . She was very sad though and spent her days praying for a better situation. Her faith was unyielding despite her dire situation.

My mother died from complications from strokes. Her situation was completely different. She was surrounded with love and good care, but her recovery was nonexistant. She spent five years as a prisoner to her bed unable to walk, sit up, see enough to read. She, too spent her days praying for a better situation.

I applaud the faith of both these once strong women.

Back to Work

Tomorrow I am finally returning to work after five long, boring weeks of staying home with all my animals. I am so excited to go back to work that I can hardly stand it. Day after tomorrow I will be longing for another five weeks off.

Satisfaction is difficult to maintain.
