Why do birds sit on the high wires?


To keep their feet warm.




I can't explain it, but this is my favorite image. I see this on my drive home from work everyday, regardless of the season and it immediately calms my spirit. If the light is red, I have the opportunity to get lost in the birds, their lineup, and their formations. I sit wondering what decides their place on the wires and their position in the formations . Before I know it my whole being is at peace regardless of how my day went. I am grateful for this gift of the Universe that takes me away from the hustle and bustle and ushers me home with a renewed calm.
